You can help build the playground!
It takes a city...
No, really - in this case it does! In early September, a section of the Stewart Park Inclusive Playground will be constructed over the course of a week through a community-wide effort. Friends, neighbors, and businesses - hundreds of volunteers - from around the area will step away from their day-to-day lives for a few hours to pick up hammers, carry supplies, and, as a team, transform playground dreams into a reality in which Ithacans can take pride. No experience is necessary! Sign up below and check back soon for more information.
Will you join the team?
Yes, I want to volunteer at the playground build!
WE NEED YOUR TOOLS!
In order to make the build a success, we need tools! FSP is asking that those with tools lend them to the build from September 11th-16th. Everyone who lends tools to the build will be given a specific number that will be placed on all of their tools, and our tools coordinator will do an inventory check before and after each day of the build to insure no tools are lost. The coordinator has participated in four previous builds, and is very familiar with the tools loaning process, so do not worry - we will ensure all tools are taken great care of! If you have tools that you can lend please email our build coordinator Lucas at email@example.com.
