About the Boathouse

Cascadilla Boathouse Restoration is an ongoing, multi-phase process. Built starting in 1894 and completed in 1896, the Cascadilla Boathouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

On October 21, 2021 Historic Ithaca hosted a lovely ribbon cutting for the newly restored Cascadilla Boathouse. Thanks to Susan Holland, Diana Riesman of FSP and Wharton Studio Museum, and Mayor Svante Myrick for the lovely remarks. The building's siding and trim has been replaced or restored, the entire exterior was repainted, flooring replaced on the veranda and more. We are thrilled with the work of Bero Architecture, Bouley Associates, Verdigree Collective /Julie Kitson Construction Management, and Trowbridge Wolf Michaels Landscape Architects on this important project.
